Rah Digga is...Harriet Thugman?

That's right. In Rah Digga's ad in The Source, she refers to herself as "Harriet Thugman," an obvious pun on the name of Harriet Tubman. Tubman was one of the most notorious freedom fighters in the South during the days of slavery. She returned to the South nineteen times, freeing more than 300 slaves.

Rah on the other hand is a newjack female mc whose mic skills are...well you be the judge of that. But on or off wax, somebody should let her know that she can't disrespect Tubman and expect to sell records to the well-informed public.

Dead Prez Cover Art Censored

The new album from Dead Prez, lets get free, caught fire from parent groups and other would be control types. The result is a sticker on the top half of the album case that reads, "this artwork has been censored by the powers that be, due to its political content." It's past time for us to take a stand and start fighting censorship. Let people the know real. Hip Hop is here to stay, now and forever. We won't stop.

Gotti Faces Fire Over The Murderers

And in other censorship news, a lot people tried [and failed] to keep The Murderers off of store shelves. For those of you that know, The Murderers is a group consisting of Ja Rule and a few lesser known mc's. Their hit singe, "We Don't Give A ..." is playing on BET, but under the name of the group's individual members. You know the pressure is hot, when Black Entertainment Television won't support black videos. (They refused to play the video under the group's real name [The Murderers].) Try and try as the powers that be might, The Murderers album has been released with the usual "Parental Advisor Explicit Content" sticker.
